Autumn in Vermont
“…Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can
make a tree.”
Vermont’s autumnal beauty is so stunningly gorgeous; it
has to be seen to fully appreciate its beauty. From the
last week in September through Columbus
Day weekend the trees are at their peak. As you pass through
cities and towns along the Canadian border, and begin to
make your south, you will see the rich red and oranges of
the maples, the yellow of the beech and elm trees, and the
purple and burgundy of the ash trees. This kaleidoscope
of color is truly a remarkable sight. When you add in lush
valleys and tumbling hills, there is no end to romantic
weekend getaways and long walks under a canopy of color.
From Brighton to Burlington, Rutland to Killington and all
along Route 4, the painter’s pallet of phenomenal photos
can’t be beat!
