Groton State Park - For easy to difficult walks ranging from short walks to nature loop trails to hikes along the mountainside.
Mount Mansfield State Forest - Moderate to difficult trails as well as part of the Long Trail.

of moderate to difficult trails. Along the way you will
see mountain ponds, a waterfall with multiple levels, and
can climb to the peak of Mount Mansfield.
Underhill State Park -The Park has 4 trails ranging from moderate to difficult, the Laura Crowles Trail, the Sunset Ridge, the Halfway House and Maple Ridge Trails all lead to the top of Mount Mansfield.
Branbury State Park - Confecting loop trails, point to point trails, and great views of Lake Dunmore. The easy to difficult trails offer fun for hikers of all ages and abilities.
Worchester -Waterbury-Stowe-Elmore-moderate to difficult trails through mountain forest and along the ridge
Calvin Coolidge State Forest –Shrewsbury-Bridgewater-Plymouth- Over 15 miles of trails including access to the Appalachian and Long Trails.
Delaware & Hudson Rail Trail —Historic locations, long bridges, wildlife and nearby wetlands are found along the 20 mile rail bed trail.
Emerald Lake State Park - Interconnecting trails, hiking, areas, paths and old roads ranging from easy to moderate
Woodford State Park —Easy to moderate trails beside the Adams Reservoir and nearby Aiken Federal Wilderness Area.
